The Hog Industry is under threat in the province. Producers rely on out of province Maple Leaf Foods processing plants in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, but with the pending closures of all Atlantic based Maple Leaf plants, producers worry that they will have to ship their products to Quebec for processing.
