Factory farming in Ontario is mostly being done by integrators - companies that are vertically integrated with meat packing and processing companies. The moratorium on hog barn expansion in Quebec has resulted in Quebec-based integrators looking to establish mega barns in eastern Ontario. Southern Ontario integrators have relationships with American meat processors.

- County Regional Environmental Evaluation KO-Alition (CREEK) Creek's mission is to be a pro-active effective force in monitoring Intensive Livestock Operations; to encourage Intensive Livestock Operations to use technologies of manure disposal which are compatible with the conservation of the ecology of the area; and to work to ensure that legislation and by-laws are written to accomplish these goals.
