Regulatory Structure

• Farm Practices Act

  (pdf) This is PEI's version of the Right to Farm legislation which prevents agricultural operations from being held liable for "nuisances" including the creation of noise, dust, odour, smoke, pollution, or any other disturbance generated from a farm practice so long as they are deemed "acceptable farm practices" by the Minister and the provincial farm practices review board.
