- Farm Practices Act
This is PEI’s version of the Right to Farm legislation which prevents agricultural operations from being held liable for “nuisances” including the creation of noise, dust, odour, smoke, pollution, or any other disturbance generated from a farm practice so long as they are deemed “acceptable farm practices” by the Minister and the provincial farm practices review board. - Animal Health and Safety Act
- Environmental Protection Act
- Land Protection Act
Because of the island’s small land base, this statute was enacted to prevent land holders (and especially farm corporations) from owning more than 1000 acres. - Natural Products Marketing Act
